Alright alright, how fucking tightly wrapped am I around Caitlyn's finger? Anyway -
So National Instruments hired me, yea Im no longer a temp there as of Monday. They offered me $12/hr (24,960 salary) and im fucking thrilled about it. Like I knew I was going to be hired, and I was just waiting for the offer letter. I was thinking to myself, damn it would be awesome if they offered me 11/hr, that'd make my day. THen I started thinking nah, there's no way they'll give me that much, so I shouldnt get my hopes up. A few hours later my boss calls me into a private conference room and tells me the news, and im like.. OMFG REELEY? So yea, Im reading this thing and it says I have 50,000 dollars Life insurance, I get 12 sick days a year, 10 vacation days, and 10 holidays, all paid. That fucking rocks. lol, plus I also get a christmas bonus of up to 15% of my salary (Which means ill likely get around 2000 dollars next year, this year it'll only be like 400 because of how much of the year is left). other benefits include but not limited too: Medical, dental, and vision! + 401k and a stock purchase plan! Uhh.. what else?
Oh! I was planning this super awesome Christmas present for Caitlyn, but it all fell to pieces when I read into it a little more.
I was going to take her on a 7 night cruise to the caribbean, no fancy room with a balcony or anything like that but, it was going to be fucking great... and it was all going to be a surprise too, I was going to have her bags packed and ready the day of the trip and not tell her about it until we were ready to leave. It would've been perfect. But of course, the cruiseline has a rule that says that noone under 21 can go without a parent/guardian who is over 25 (On most cruises) Disney however does allow 18 and older, but they only leave Ft Lauderdale Florida, so there's that added expense + they dont quote their prices online. Anyway so that sucks really bad, I was so badly looking forward to it too. Oh well, next month Caitlyn and I are going to take a 4 day weekend vacation to West Texas and im looking forward to that, that'll be a lot of fun. All because Caitlyn is awesome and wanted to take me there for my birthday. All together now! "AWWWWWWWW" Good. Man its been awhile since ive written one of things, I have more to say!!
Caitlyn started college last week and.... I miss her :( lol, I still get to see her on weekends and stuff but we used to see eachother everyday and I really miss that. Im such a pain in the ass, im having more trouble adjusting to her living in a dorm than she is. I hate not being able to talk to her late at night on the phone because she only has one room and cant go anywhere to be alone or anything, plus I cant go over there as readily as I could when she lived with her parents. She's also a lot further away and has to leave here sooner because of the trip + bus ride + walking etc.. it takes her like 45-50 minutes to get back inside her dorm after leaving here. Anyway, I really need to learn how to get over missing her all the time :)
